Rob Lauber is the senior vice president- chief learning officer at McDonald’s Corporation. Lauber joined McDonald’s in 2014 and has responsibility for the overall learning and development strategy and execution across all 37,000 restaurants around the world.
Prior to his current role, Lauber was the Vice President, Yum! University at Yum! Brands, and the Executive Director of Learning Services at Cingular Wireless. While at Cingular, his team was recognized as a Top 100 Training organization by Training Magazine over three consecutive years. He has also held learning leadership roles at Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC), and Dun & Bradstreet.
Lauber has been recognized multiple times by CLO Magazine for his work on achieving business impact, leading business change, learning technologies and global learning. He was recognized as the 2013 CLO of the Year.
Lauber was the 2010 Chair of the board of ATD (Association for Talent Development). In addition, he served on the board of directors for Leadership Kentucky and chaired the Program Operating Committee for Kentuckiana Works, the metro Louisville, KY workforce board.
He is frequently a participant in panel discussions, webinars, and learning profession related articles across the globe.
Lauber holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Scranton as well as an M.S. in Human Resources Development from Rochester Institute of Technology.
