Charlie Chung works with large corporations and top-tier universities to bring their training online. Heis passionate about applying new pedagogies to online learning environments and leads the learning design and consulting efforts for NovoEd’s enterprise clients. He brings a background in management consulting and enterprise software and holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

 

Kristin Cassino is the manager of learning services for global risk solutions at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, a business unit with 8.5 billion in sales and 8,500 employees. Learning services supports technical training including claims, underwriting and distribution.

Cassino started in the learning field at State Street Bank in Boston by building a small training department from the ground up. She led training departments for several banks in California before returning to Boston to join Liberty Mutual.

Today Cassino leads a group of more than 100 training professionals. Her recent focus for the team has been on improving consulting capabilities, increasing agility and using measurement and evaluation to demonstrate business impact.

Kelly has been with Generation since 2016 and currently leads the Curriculum & Instruction team globally. She previously worked for 14+ years in various educational leadership roles, including Chief Academic Officer and Managing Director of Instructional Leadership development for urban charter schools and non-profit management companies. Kelly holds a Masters in Educational Leadership from Bank Street School of Education and a Bachelor’s in Education from Ohio Wesleyan University.

Marla Caceres has been working for the Second City since 2004 as a facilitator, teacher, performer and writer. As a performer and writer, she has worked on live and video corporate content for Second City Works, as well as original revues for the Kennedy Center and LaJolla Playhouse. She has facilitated workshops for dozens of companies and organizations around the country, and has also been an instructor in the Second City Training Center, specializing in the Improv A-E program. Outside of Second City, Caceres facilitates improv workshops for MBA students in the Kellog School of Business and works as a freelance advertising copywriter.

Caceres started her career as a journalist, working for the Tribune Co., before transitioning to comedy.

Matt Bruce became the first executive director of the Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance in October 2012.

Under his leadership, the Funder Alliance has raised more than $6 million, grown from five to 25 funders and initiated a set of strategic initiatives focused on industry workforce partnerships, systems change and workforce innovation. He also has stewarded the creation of a new fund to support the region’s career pathway system, and a new commitment to fight wage theft and discrimination in low-wage occupations. Prior to moving back to Chicago to start the Funder Alliance, Bruce was the manager of regional sector initiatives for the Boston office of Jobs and Community Services. In this position with the city of Boston, he started sector workforce initiatives such as Green Jobs Boston and the Skilled Careers In Life Sciences initiative. Bruce has a master’s degree in public policy from the Harris School at the University of Chicago
